Overview
The Midwestern Journal of Anesthesia Quality and Safety (MJAQS) is a quarterly open access journal publishing peer reviewed research on the basis of originality, interest, and applicability. The editorial staff of MJAQS recognize that quality and safety are the drivers of anesthesia excellence, and that residents and faculty alike are encouraged and/or required to participate in quality improvement projects. To that end, the journal publishes manuscripts in the following categories:
- Original Research Projects: Manuscripts focusing on quality improvement in the immediate peri-anesthesia period.
- Resident Quality Reports: Quality improvement manuscripts written by residents/fellows and reviewed by our resident editorial staff.
- Reports from the Anesthesiology Performance Improvement and Reporting Exchange Continuous Quality Improvement project (ASPIRE-CQI): Lessons-learned/research summaries are shared to enhance quality of anesthesia care.
Manuscript submissions and inquiries are encouraged. Manuscript style and formatting are described in the "For the Authors" link, and submissions must be made using our online submission system.
Fees
The Journal has no publication or processing fees, and articles are made freely available online upon publication.
